2015

May we set our hearts to understanding and enjoy the esteem of heaven:

“He instructed me and said to me, “Daniel, I have now come to give you insight and understanding.  As soon as you began to pray a word went out, which I have come to tell you, for you are highly esteemed.”  Daniel 9:22-23a

“Then he continued, ‘Do not be afraid Daniel.  Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them.'”  Daniel 10:12

May we speak worthy, not worthless words:

“Therefore this is what the Lord says: “If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me; if you utter worthy, not worthless, words, you will be my spokesman. Let this people turn to you, but you must not turn to them.”  Jeremiah 15:19

May we love deeply, unselfishly, wisely, enduringly:

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”  John 13:34

May we think only noble thoughts:

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”  Philippians 4:8

May we shine a brilliant light into this ever-darkening world:

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”  Matthew 5:16

And, after scrolling through tumblr just now, just to see what it’s all about…

May we refuse friendship with the things of this world:

“… don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.”  James 4:4

May 2015 be the year we resolve to protect the hearts and minds of our children.
