Life’s a Beach

I linger at the beach.

Here beside the fresh water of Michigan…

And there in the salt water of Florida….

There is something so right and soul-healing about a long walk in the salt air.  The waves washing over my feet, the sand squishing between my toes, the squawking of gulls, the gentle rhythm of the surf.

I need it.

And I am always slow to leave it.

  1. I love the beach and unfortunately I live 500 miles from the nearest one. I really enjoyed these photos and they served as a reminder that it’s been such a long time that I went to one.

    • Thanks Regina! I live too far from the beach, too. There are plenty of lakes within walking distance of my house, but I have to drive 2 hours to Lake Huron or 3 hours to Lake Michigan for a walking beach.
