Little One awoke from her slumber and headed toward the back door.
“Are you sure, Little One?”
The rain was coming down in sheets and the wind was blowing it sideways. If it were snowing instead of raining, we’d have a bonafide blizzard.
But Little One always has to go when she wakes up from a nap.
So I opened the door.
And immediately heard a very loud and frantic twitterfest going on out there.
Little One stepped into the pouring rain and then paused to rethink her decision. She sprinted off the deck, did her business and then sprinted right back.
55 degrees and raining in the motor city today. 62 degrees and fair yesterday. In mid-December!
After two brutally cold winters in a row, global warming has finally visited Detroit.
And I like it.
Must be a national trend. I have a rose bush blooming, of all things. Crazy!

Well..yeah, but it still freezes LOL. Roses, even here, should not be blooming in the middle of December!

Yeah, pretty much. And it’s all relative anyway. I spent 7 years in Wyoming. It was so cold there that the kids had outdoor recess unless it got below 10 degrees. Weather people used to say with a straight face..”Today we expect a spike in temperatures up to the double digits!” So, only getting down to freezing was a treat. Here, if it goes to single digits people don’t even get out of bed. So, some your envy is well placed, as I know it’s very, very cold up your way.

Same here, but I suppose it’s more acceptable in the Deep South. I just prefer it cold on Christmas….looks like it’s going to be in the 70’s and raining.
